Michelle Lynn Monaghan, born 23rd March 1976 is an American actress. She is well-known for her leading roles in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005), Gone Baby Gone (2007), Made of Honor (2008), Eagle Eye (2008), Trucker (2008), Source Code (2011), Pixels (2015), and Patriots Day (2016). Her role as Julia Meade, the main character of Mission: Impossible's action spy series Mission: Impossible (2006), Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol (2011), Mission: Impossible Fallout (2018), has been recognized. Monaghan also starred in the first season of True Detective (2014) in the first season of True Detective as Maggie Hart. She was nominated for the Golden Globe Award, Best Supporting Actress. She was also a character on Sarah Lane on the drama series The Path (2016-18). Monaghan was the protagonist of the 2020 Netflix thriller, Messiah. It was pulled after just one season.
