Paula Faris
Paula Faris is an American journalist
from America. She previously worked as an anchor for TV on ABC News. She is
well-known for her role as co-host of Good Morning America Weekend, 2014-2018,
as well as host of The View, 2015-2018. The show was co-hosted by her prior
co-anchors America This Morning and World News Now. After graduating, she
worked in several communications-related jobs including an operations position
at Mills/James Productions in Columbus, Ohio. Due to limited TV opportunities
the company employed her in radio sales. Then she was able to work for an
entire year as a production assistant for WKEF/WRGT. Later, she would
occasionally anchor and report. She was the weekend and weekday sports anchors
for WCPO TV, Cincinnati, from 2002 until 2005. Her contract was terminated and
she was hired as a reporter and anchor for NBC affiliate WMAQ-TV, Chicago, from
November 2005 to December 2011. She was recruited by ABC News the news division
in December of 2011. She first made an appearance on the network for its World
News Now and America This Morning on January 2, 2012. She also performed as a
fill-in host on Good Morning America as well as the correspondent. She was
later appointed a New York-based correspondent for all ABC News programs. The
program was not able for her to be able to make it to the final episode of
World News Now or America This Morning. It was on January 22nd, 2013. She made
her debut on Good Morning America Weekend as co-anchor on the 9th of August
2014. This was after Bianna Golodryga shifted to Yahoo! News. On the 25th of
August, 2015 ABC announced that she would join The View as a co-host for season
19. The show announced on August 3, 2016 that she was renewed for for the 20th
season. Season 21 was also the first season she was renewed as cohost. Her most
popular appearance was during the 21st and 22nd seasons of the show.
