Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy (born November 25 in 1968) is a Canadian actress and singer from Canada. Her appearances on American television shows like Law & Order were three-seasons long. Crossing Jordan lasted six seasons. Jordan Cavanaugh was her main character. She has also been an actor in films like RoboCop 3 or Most Wanted and independent films Chutney Popcorn, which she co-directed. Hennessy was born in Edmonton. John Hennessy, John's father, was a marketing and meat sales/marketing executive. The job required significant travel and meant that the family had to move frequently. John Paul Hennessy Jr., her younger brother, is Jacqueline Hennessy who is an identical twin, who works as a journalist for a magazine and TV host in Canada. Her ancestry is comprised of Irish, French, Swedish, and Italian descendents from her father's and predominantly Ukrainian Roma on her mother's. She was educated at Stanley Park Senior Public School, was a graduate of Grand River Collegiate Institute in Kitchener, Ontario and busked in the Toronto subway. Hennessy as well as her sister were among the first to appear as twin call girls in 1988's Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, Gillian Anderson's actress, claims she was nominated for Dana Scully, The X-Files role. She also appeared on 1988's Dead Ringers as twin call girls. Dick Wolf signed Hennessy in 1993 as Claire Kincaid, an assistant district attorney, on the NBC crime drama Law & Order. She played the character for three seasons and then left the show in 1996.
