Virginia, on May 12 on the 12th of May, 1972. Her mother worked as an executive
assistant to the United States Navy, while her father was an agent in the Naval
Investigative Service; her family was frequently moved during her youth, living
in Washington, D.C. and Arizona, as well as in Japan. Following in the
footsteps of her father and grandmother and mother, she was a student of
painting, drawing and architecture at the age of a child. Though she pursued
all of the arts in her life, she also developed a passion for acting. While in
college, she was introduced to the world of contemporary theater. She graduated
with a BA in Studio Art from George Mason University in 1994. While at
university, Seehorn was looking to be a theater actor, following the
encouragement from her acting instructor. She took on a variety of assistant
roles within the industry of theater in D.C. to try to get noticed. She was
able to secure some important parts in local theatre productions. However, she
still needed to find odd jobs to earn a living. In order to pay her bills, she
was also able to take on roles in short instructional films. Then she started
to get roles in more television productions usually in roles she considered as
"very wry, sarcastic, knowing women" which was similar to her idol
Bea Arthur. Most of these parts were then ended after one or two seasons. In
the month of May, 2014, Seehorn was cast in the Breaking Bad spin-off prequel
series Better Call Saul. Seehorn portrays Kim Wexler, who is an attorney and
the lover of Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk).
