Mila Kunis Bio

Mila Kuniz was born Milena Kuris on the 14th of August, 1983 in Chernivtsi. Kunis moved to Los Angeles with her parents Elvira (her parents) and Mark (her older brother) at seven years old. It was a hard beginning for the Kunis family that arrived in their new country having just $250. Kunis' parents, who both gave up their professional jobs to relocate to a better place for their children and were determined to create a better future for their family. Mark an ex-mechanical engineer found work quickly as a driver in cabs. Elvira, who was an instructor of physics in Ukraine was eventually in charge of the pharmacy. "I did not know the American culture," Kunis has said when she first arrived in the United States. "I did not know anyone. I couldn't comprehend their language. However, I came through it pretty fast." Milena Markovna Kunis is the child of Mark Kunis in Chernivtsi (Ukraine), and Elvira. She has a brother who is older. Her mother is a Physics teacher and her father runs a pharmacy. His father is a mechanical engineers by profession. She is Jewish. Her family moved from Israel to Los Angeles when she turned seven. Rosewood Elementary School was her first choice of school. She started acting classes when she was nine. After auditioning for commercials in a variety of different spots and a variety of other commercials, she was an actor in her first appearance on television on Days of Our Lives’ in 1994. The first time she was cast on the 1998 sitcom That ’70s show’ as Jackie Burkhart. Her performance was praised by the critics. In 1999 she was given the role of Meg Griffin on the animated sitcom Family Guy.
